Napoleon Perdis Rebirth of Venus Skin Renewal Cleansing Oil: If It's Good Enough for a Goddess... - Makeup and Beauty Blog

This makeup removing cleansing oil has placenta in information technology…
At first, this really, actually freaked me out. I kept thinking of that scene in The Matrix when y'all see all of the people being farmed in those pods, or like when sometime-@ss vampires seek out newborns to drain because it gives them extra force for a clan state of war or something…
Anywho! Overactive imagination much?
What were we talking near? Cleansing oil??
To use Napoleon Perdis Rebirth of Venus Skin Renewal Cleansing Oil ($39 for a 4.9-oz. canteen), apply a small amount to your face while your skin is dry (don't dampen your skin first with water — that's the primal), massage it in, and and so rinse with h2o.
Equally for the whole placenta thing…the kind used here in the ingredients is called Marine Placenta.
And because knowledge is power, I did a quick search on "placenta," specifically "marine placenta," and evidently it'south an ingredient frequently used in dazzler products as a humectant (used to go on things from drying out). It's derived from salmon eggs (source and source).
Who knew?
Merely a little random Th night food for thought if ingredients interest y'all…
"This lightweight Japanese oil cleanser combines the mysteries of the deep with the secrets of the Lotus bloom to both sweep away makeup and rejuvenate skin, leaving you every bit seductive as a Siren. Enriched with amino acids and polysaccharides, Marine Placenta helps promote a sea-modify in stressed skin — minimizing the appearance of wrinkles and pores while helping your skin look flawless."
— from the bottle
Every bit for the cleansing oil itself, it works! Information technology's very thick, rich and smells like roses, and it gets the job washed. Information technology removes everything, including the difficult-to-remove stuff similar waterproof liner and mascara.
Information technology feels and performs like DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil, which I absolutely dearest (I keep meaning to review it, but every time I remember to do so, I've ordinarily just finished a canteen, whoops!).
My combination dry/oily skin responds well to Rebirth of Venus, but I remember I adopt DHC's oil overall. I similar this, too, especially the rosy fragrance. It's another pick, but I recall DHC'southward is a little more moisturizing, and my skin needs all the moisture it can get.
If yous're interested, Napoleon Perdis Rebirth of Venus Pare Renewal Cleansing Oil is available now online and at Neiman Marcus.
